Q: How do I get to Vang Vieng?

A: It’s fairly easy to get to the town of Vang Vieng. Travelling from the capitol city of Vientiane, it will take between 3 to 4 hours by minivan or bus. If you are coming from Luang Prabang, it will take around 8 hours by van or bus. Prepare for that journey, as it is a windy road for most of the way. As well, we recommend all travellers to make their journey during the day if possible, as it is generally safer.

A: There is so much to do and see, especially if you are into outdoor activities!  There’s plenty of hiking, water sports including kayaking, tubing, rock climbing, hot air ballooning, caving, or simply relaxing in town.
